Color 31/31: Crayola Rainbow

Color 31/31: Crayola Rainbow

...the old stand-by...

Crayolas: I'm a fan.

Color 30/31: Pen Rainbow

Color 30/31: Pen Rainbow

Well, pen and highlighter rainbow.

...This photo reminds me that I need to go through our pens. I have a feeling we're holding on to some used-up, dried-out pens...

Color 29/31: Magnet Rainbow

Color 29/31: Magnet Rainbow

On our fridge. They remind me of board game pieces/place markers.

Color 28/31: Thread Rainbow

Color 28/31: Thread Rainbow

Does anyone remember punch embroidery? I did a little of it when I was a young teen (or so), but these threads aren't left-overs from that. They're from someone else's craft supply clean-out.

Color 27/31: Candy Rainbow

Color 27/31: Candy Rainbow

The last week of March was supposed to be focused on rainbows and the colorwheel. Well, it "kinda" is, but honestly, I've just gotten bored with photography this month... so it's pretty half-hearted.

For this day-- a rainbow of Now and Later candies! (Makes my mouth water, just thinking about them...)

Color 26/31: Blue Skies

Color 26/31: Blue Skies

Blue skies smiling at me! Nothing but blue skies do I see!

(Well, and a few puffy white clouds, too.)

Color 25/31: Blue Beads

Color 25/31: Blue Beads

Wow.  I didn't manage to get anything in focus that day...

Carrie made this necklace for me a few years ago. :o)

Color 24/31: Crochet in Green

Color 24/31: Crochet in Green

...weaving in the ends of a mystery project in green yarn...

Color 23/31: Thread

Color 23/31: Thread

...for my next thread crochet project. It's a Trish Kristoffersen doily pattern named "Peacock Pride".

Color 22/31: Heidi's Alpine Yellow

Color 22/31: Heidi's Alpine Yellow

I'm not sure what these tiny flowers are called, but they make me think of Heidi and the Swiss Alps. (I'm sure they have nothing to do with the Swiss Alps, but nevertheless...)

Color 20/31: Gummy Bear

Color 20/31: Gummy Bear

Orange-flavored. Not mine.  (I'm not a big fan of gummy candy, in general.)

Color 19/31: Brick Wall

...turned on its side because I prefer landscape to portrait orientation...

Color 18/31: Lichen

Color 17/31: Widow's Tears

Color 17/31: Widow's Tears

...also known as spiderwort...

This is another of those wildflowers/weeds that I remember picking when I was a child. The flowers can be pretty, but they're very invasive around here.

Color 16/31: Robin's Egg Blue

Color 16/31: Robin's Egg Blue

I don't believe this batter bowl has ever been used for its intended purpose. (Maybe once.) Instead, it sits on the kitchen counter looking pretty and holding fruit (or lately, Swedish chocolate awaiting review on the candy blog).

Color 15/31: Sundew

Sundew

Had a hard time getting these into focus. I may try again sometime...

Color 14/31: Chinese Fringe Flower Tree

Color 14/31: Chinese Fringe Flower Tree

...Bright fuchsia flowers...

(Am I the only one always has to double-check the spelling of "fuchsia"?)

We had to move this shrub a year or so ago, and we trimmed it then to be able to get to it. As a result, it is much reduced in size, but it still blooms nicely.

Color 13/31: Japanese Magnolia

Color 13/31: Japanese Magnolia

This photo kicks off the two weeks of color emphasis (that is, emphasizing one color per photo). It's a little of a weak start, I think, because the dark snuck up on me and I had to use a flash. I really wanted to get the color of the whole, tulip-like flower, which is a color I'd describe as orchid or light mauve. Instead, we get the inside of the flower. It reminds me of a sea anemone.

Color 12/31: Yarny Sunshine

Color 12/31: Yarny Sunshine

This is what happens when you run out of inspiration and daylight on the same day.

Here's the little bowl of scraps I'm using as I crochet together the last few pieces of my Moorish Mosaic Afghan. (I'm nearly done!)
